David J. Farling hails from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He graduated magna cum laude in 1982 from York College and obtained his juris doctorate from the University of Santa Clara Law School in 1985. Soon after being admitted to the California State Bar in 1986 he enrolled in the University of California, Hastings College of Law Trial Advocacy program and was awarded certification there. He is licensed to practice before the United States District Court for the Northern District of California and is a member of the American, California and Santa Clara County Bar Associations. Professional memberships include to American and California Trial Lawyers Associations. Mr. Farling’s practice includes business and civil litigation with an emphasis on personal injury. During the course of his career he has successfully resolved over three thousand personal injury cases by way of settlement, award or judgment.
Roger D. Hecht
Roger D. Hecht was born in Brooklyn, New York in 1953. He graduated cum laude from Brooklyn College in 1976 and attended the University of Santa Clara School of Law as a recipient of the Ann Hannon Smith Scholarship for academic excellence. He graduated in 1984 and was admitted to the California State Bar in 1985. He is licensed to practice before the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California, and the 9th Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals. His professional memberships include the California State Bar, the Santa Clara County Bar Association, and the California Trial Lawyers Association. Mr. Hecht has a general trial practice emphasizing personal injury, criminal defense, and general business and civil litigation.
TODD KAMBER DAVIS
Todd Davis was born in Santa Clara, California in 1968. Todd grew up in San Jose and graduated from Bellarmine College Preparatory in 1986. He graduated from Pitzer College in Claremont, California in 1990 with a Bachelor of Arts in History. He graduated from Willamette University’s Law School and was admitted to the California State Bar in 1993. In 1994 he was licensed to practice before the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California. Mr. Davis’ practice includes civil litigation and criminal defense. Maryben Stover was born and raised in San Jose. She attended San Jose State College and graduated from Heald Business College. She has over 40 years of experience as a legal secretary for trial attorneys, specializing in personal injury, wrongful death, and commercial litigation. She currently serves as Mr. Davis’ legal assistant and is a skilled and experienced professional.
Ms. Hoang has been with the firm since 2009. She serves as a legal assistant to Mr. Farling, focusing on the needs of Vietnamese speaking clients, primarily in the area of personal injury law. Her long standing involvement in the Vietnamese community has proven to be invaluable to the firm.
Mr. Gutierrez’s legal work began in 1986 with a small firm in San Francisco. His experience involves litigation work, with prominent firms including The Boccardo Law Firm, and Intellectual Property with Carr & Ferrell. Currently, he is a Civil Litigation Paralegal and has been Mr. Farling’s Assistant since 2001. Mr. Gutierrez finds his work meaningful as he champions the prosecution of personal injury claims on behalf of the firm’s clients. He is fluent in both the English and Spanish languages, and is an essential member of the firm.
Ms. Maldonado has been with the firm since its inception. Throughout the years she has developed significant expertise in establishing relationships with the firm’s clients and the community, and currently serves as the firm’s receptionist and office manager. She is fluent in both the English and Spanish languages and is a most important and integral member of the firm.
