David J. Farling hails from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He graduated magna cum laude in 1982 from York College and obtained his juris doctorate from the University of Santa Clara Law School in 1985. Soon after being admitted to the California State Bar in 1986 he enrolled in the University of California, Hastings College of Law Trial Advocacy program and was awarded certification there. He is licensed to practice before the United States District Court for the Northern District of California and is a member of the American, California and Santa Clara County Bar Associations. Professional memberships include to American and California Trial Lawyers Associations. Mr. Farling’s practice includes business and civil litigation with an emphasis on personal injury. During the course of his career he has successfully resolved over three thousand personal injury cases by way of settlement, award or judgment.
Roger D. Hecht
Roger D. Hecht was born in Brooklyn, New York in 1953. He graduated cum laude from Brooklyn College in 1976 and attended the University of Santa Clara School of Law as a recipient of the Ann Hannon Smith Scholarship for academic excellence. He graduated in 1984 and was admitted to the California State Bar in 1985. He is licensed to practice before the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California, and the 9th Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals. His professional memberships include the California State Bar, the Santa Clara County Bar Association, and the California Trial Lawyers Association. Mr. Hecht has a general trial practice emphasizing personal injury, criminal defense, and general business and civil litigation.
TODD KAMBER DAVIS
Todd Davis was born in Santa Clara, California in 1968. Todd grew up in San Jose and graduated from Bellarmine College Preparatory in 1986. He graduated from Pitzer College in Claremont, California in 1990 with a Bachelor of Arts in History. He graduated from Willamette University’s Law School and was admitted to the California State Bar in 1993. In 1994 he was licensed to practice before the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California. Mr. Davis’ practice includes civil litigation and criminal defense. Maryben Stover was born and raised in San Jose. She attended San Jose State College and graduated from Heald Business College. She has over 40 years of experience as a legal secretary for trial attorneys, specializing in personal injury, wrongful death, and commercial litigation. She currently serves as Mr. Davis’ legal assistant and is a skilled and experienced professional.
Ms. Veronica Martinez was born and raised in the City of San Jose, California. She obtained her associates degree in the Administration of Justice from Evergreen Valley College and is currently working on obtaining her bachelor’s degree in Justice Studies with a minor in Legal Studies at San Jose State University. Ms. Martinez is also in the process of joining Fresh Lifelines for Youth as a mentor for at-risk youth. She has worked in the legal field since 2008 when her career started with a small firm in San Jose. Currently, she is serving as Mr. Hecht’s legal assistant and she is fluent in both the English and Spanish languages.
Ms. Hoang has been with the firm since 2009. She serves as a legal assistant to Mr. Farling, focusing on the needs of Vietnamese speaking clients, primarily in the area of personal injury law. Her long standing involvement in the Vietnamese community has proven to be invaluable to the firm. In addition to her personal injury client work, Ms. Hoang has been enrolled at Heald College, participating in their paralegal studies program.
